• The Black Windmill. Gran elenco incluyendo Michael Caine.

Desilusión del mes: The In-Laws (con Albert Brooks y Michael Douglas), un remake innecesario de la excelente versión original de 1979 con Peter Falk y Alan Arkin, The In-Laws.

Película más odiosa jamás vista: Snakes on a Plane.

CD del mes: Eastmountainsouth. Finalmente encontré este CD en Borders de San Francisco.

Libro del mes: The Cold Six Thousand (James Ellroy)

Mejores películas: Octubre 2007

Algunas excelentes películas el mes pasado, aquí en orden de preferencia…

• Mirrormask. Fabulosa.
• Sweeney Todd. La obra de teatro original se supone es macabra pero con humor negro. ("The Demon Barber of Fleet Street"). El film es directamente escalofriante y totalmente creíble. Trabaje el gran actor Ray Winstone.
• Inland Empire. David Lynch. Extraña.
• RKO 481 – The Battle over Citizen Kane. Detalal la batalla a muerte entre Orson Welles y el gigante de los medios William Randolph Hearst, y cómo esta obra maestra casi no llega a realizarse.

Libro del mes: Flatland (Edwin Abbott)

CD del mes: The Beginning Stages Of… (The Polyphonic Spree)

• Red Rock West. Nicolas Cage en este excelente "noir" de bajo perfil dirigida por John Dahl
• Mute Witness. Una linda de suspenso que seguramente nunca has visto.
• Arabesque. Gregory Peck y Sophia Loren!
• The I Inside. Ryan Philippe en un pequeño thriller, bastante bueno.
